The landscape of America 250 in Connecticut is vast, and there is plenty of time for planning, researching, and preparing. The Revolutionary War continued until 1783, meaning events, exhibits, and programs can continue beyond the first year of commemoration in 2026.
Join members of the Connecticut State Historical Records Advisory Board (CT SHRAB) for an information session packed with ideas for using existing resources and your archives to commemorate America 250 in Connecticut.
We will start with a survey of the landscape of which Connecticut-based organizations are doing what to help you with planning and funding, and then discuss ways you can include commemorative events on your programing calendar while being clever and mindful of your resources and time! We will then allow space for questions and discussion with our panel and with your fellow attendees.
Attend this virtual event with friends and colleagues!
This program is presented by the Connecticut State Historical Records Advisory Board, Conservation ConneCTion, and the Connecticut League of Museums with a grant from the National Historical Publications & Records Commission.
